Triple-win for Quercus Eight in race for British Horse Society Titles.
Quercus Eight has signed a new, three-year contract to continue producing the British Horse Society’s popular monthly magazine British Horse (circulation 65,000), the top-circulation equine magazine in the UK.
Quercus Eight has also been awarded the contract to continue publishing the BHS Annual Handbook (75,000 circulation) for a further three-year term. In addition, the company will be adding Rider to its stable of BHS titles, having been awarded the three-year contract to produce the quarterly title with a circulation of 35,000, published by the British Riding Club, which is part of BHS.
Quercus Eight is delighted that the success the company has achieved in the account management of BHS titles over the past three years has resulted in retaining the business and gaining the new Rider contract from BHS.
Quercus Eight director Jennifer Allen said: “We have worked closely with the BHS editorial team over the past three years to help steer British Horse to the No 1 spot in circulated equine magazines last year, beating the market leader Horse and Hound.”
“Our winning team includes award-winning designer Amelia Clark who has been responsible for the creative development of British Horse for the past three years and has a real passion for the subject. We are delighted that our contract to provide design, print and mailing services to BHS has expanded to include Rider. Amelia and the team at Quercus Eight are looking forward to working with BHS to develop all three titles to improve still further its dominant brand position in the equine publications market.”
The bumper BHS contract is the first major win for the business, formerly known as The Hardy Group, since it re-branded under the new name Quercus Eight at the beginning of this year.
